for you at RenalMed
We offer renal services to all communities in South Africa. We strive to improve the quality of life of people with kidney disease by delivering quality dialysis closer to their homes.
This uses the same principle as chronic haemodialysis, except it is performed in a hospital setting.
It is performed on newly diagnosed kidney injured patients.
Chronic haemodialysis is a dialysis treatment for patients with chronic renal failure.
It is performed in an out patients’ facility.
During the treatment, the patient’s blood is circulated through a dialysis machine with an artificial kidney that removes toxins such as urea and remove excess water from the patient’s blood
CRRT is a dialysis modality used to treat critically ill patients who have developed acute kidney injury in the intensive care unit.
It is a slow and gentle dialysis that is performed up to 72 hours continuously.
